Squash

I am extremely pleased to be able to offer youngsters this outstanding opportunity to achieve their personal best under the world class coaching at Pontefract Squash Club, and I am convinced that Ackworth Squash Academy will join our Table Tennis and Football Academies in achieving further sports excellence on a national level.
Ackworth School has developed an exceptional tradition of sporting excellence in both girls’ and boys’ games in recent years. We have achieved this through vigorous discipline, excellent coaching, investment in facilities and with a marked regard to flexibility in the curriculum. Many pupils represent the school, Yorkshire and England at county and national level and several have continued to excel on the world stage
Squash is more than a leisure activity; it offers a prospective career for promising youngsters to aspire. There is however, no point in aspiring to a career of mediocrity, and in the challenging world of modern-day professional sport, elite performance is the benchmark for success, satisfaction and fulfilling one’s potential.
