International Students at Ackworth
Our school is steeped in history and offers you a traditional British education as a pathway to university, either here in the UK or in your home country or elsewhere.
Ackworth has been welcoming international students since 1880 and as the oldest co-educational boarding school in the UK, (founded 1779) we have over 240 years of experience teaching and caring for students from across the globe.
Whilst the majority of our students are British we usually have over 20 other nationalities on campus, all of whom bring a multi-cultural perspective to our warm and welcoming community.
All of our international students are integrated into the school and are in the same boarding houses, classes, sports teams and Clubs as all other students.
All students receive the very best teaching, pastoral care and pastoral care throughout their time at Ackworth School which stands them in good stead for their role in the global community.
Whether a student is already fluent in English or requires development in this area, there will be an appropriate course of study here at Ackworth.
