Community

Our local community is an important part of our outreach programme.  We want to be at the heart of our community, removing barriers and creating opportunities for our local residents.  We want to make a discernible difference.  We are looking to increase our participation in our local community, and increase the visibility of the school and its ethos through the sharing of knowledge and facilities and through the development of partnerships and the ambition to help raise hopes and aspirations for all in Ackworth.

Ackworth Tennis Club

Ackworth School hire their tennis courts to Ackworth Tennis Club.

Ackworth Tennis club is a growing friendly club which hires the courts on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturday afternoon and Sunday. There are weekly social sessions where all abilities are welcome to play. In addition to this the club also competes in the Wakefield and district league in the summer.
