Nursery and Reception pupils learn through play – it’s the best way and it’s fun!

Ackworth School Nursery – 2 ½ – 4years

At Ackworth School Nursery there are many sessions to choose from, making your childcare tailor-made to suit the needs of you and your child.  Admission is subject to observation during a ‘nursery ready’ taster session.

Ackworth School Nursery is located in a beautiful safe setting, in close proximity to the main school site.  Our Nursery is a multi-complex building with a variety of rooms to inspire learning and challenge.  It has a spectacular large outdoor area, which includes a wilderness area, a fruit and vegetable plot and a mud kitchen.

The Nursery children access a variety of activities and specialist teaching from all departments at Ackworth School.  This includes Forest Schools sessions within both Nursery and Senior School woodland areas, music sessions and specialist language lessons.
