Academic Life

First-class teaching is at the heart of any good school and Ackworth benefits greatly from the quality and experience of its teaching staff.

Our aim is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum but taking advantage of the flexibility we enjoy as an independent school. We encourage students to make curriculum choices which suit them best and much advice and guidance is on offer to help them to do this.

Gelegu, one of our international boarders is unable to fly home. He gets out and about but is understandably quite bored. We do have a Nintendo Wii at school but we need controllers and an AV cable to connect to the television. The earliest we can have this delivered is at the end of April. So we're leaning on the generosity of our community, is anybody able to donate a cable or controllers, even for a short period? Any support is massively appreciated. ... See MoreSee Less

Keeping the girl busy in between school work. @Ackworth_School give her a cloth and get her doing some chores at break time when you're all back to school 🤣👍😂 #coronavirusuk #lockdown #getthekidsworking
