Second Year Geography Trip

Recently we went to the East Coast. At Mappleton we saw some sea defences, like rock armour and a rock groyne. We also saw how the land slumps because of sea erosion. Then we drove to Hornsea, where we saw the sea wall and the pipes to drain off inland water. We had fish and chips and looked at the wooden groynes. We could see how the groynes stopped longshore drift, because all the rocks were being piled up behind the groyne and weren't being washed away. Afterwards, we drove to our final destination, North Landing at Flamborough. Here we saw lots of rock formations including arches, a cave,a stump and some stacks. I liked the trip because there was nice scenery and it was a very interesting learning aid.
