Learning at Coram House is not confined to the core curriculum; it is enriched by a programme of day and residential visits of varying lengths. These foster independence, develop physical skills and enhance intellectual curiosity, cultural awareness and creativity.
The programme of day trips is diverse, ranging from nature walks and farm visits in the early years to a “hands on” Egyptian Workshop, a Habitat Study Day and theatre trip as pupils progress through the school.
The Juniors (Years 3 to 6) have the opportunity to participate in six residential visits. In recent years these have included cultural visits to London and Stratford and outdoor education trips for Year 3 and 4 children to Castleton in Derbyshire and Marrick Priory in North Yorkshire. Year 5 and 6 pupils enjoy challenging stays at the “Outward Bound Trust” centre on Ullswater and The National Water Sports Centre at Plas Menai.
