Ackworth School is unique locally. It provides the best of both worlds - a boarding school with a high proportion of day pupils. We are therefore able to offer considerable benefits, not ordinarily available at other schools. We encourage you to visit to see the difference for yourself.
What is included in the fees?
Pupils need only make a decision each morning about their plans for the day. Busy parents have the comfort of knowing that their children are in a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment.

Both Registration Fees and Acceptance Fees are currently non-refundable.
School fees are payable termly in advance, together with the costs of extras incurred during the previous term. Interest is charged on balances outstanding. Details of other methods of payment, such as discounts for the payment of lump sums, can be obtained from the Bursar.
Full fees are payable during absences and parents may wish to consider insuring against this contingency.
A full term’s notice of intention to withdraw a pupil or change from boarding to day status is required. Notice must be given in writing to the Head on or before the first day of the notice period. A full term’s fees will be required if due notice is not given or if a place, having been accepted, is not taken up. This will be immediately due and payable.
We are able to offer remissions on fees through our Scholarship and Bursary programmes. Please contact the Admissions staff in the first instance for information.
In addition discounts are available for second and subsequent children from the same family joining the school.
